what would matter one thousand years from now?

few, if any, of the things that we toil so hard for, strive so hard towards, work so hard to achieve would.

the things that definitely will not matter:
- whether i get that ipod touch or not
- whether i get the recognition that i think i deserve
- whether i get to right the wrongs that i believe to have suffered
- whether i get into the school team or not
- whether i get to be thought of as "cool enough" or not
- whether i get to collect my pay this weekend or not
- you
and the great thing is - when you feel down and think that things just are not going for you, that you're a perpetual not-good-enough, and that everything is all messed up - they would probably not matter at all in 5 years time.

so i'm going to clear my thoughts, pack my memories, master my emotions and focus my energies, and get a grip on myself.
