but i trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
i will sing to the Lord,
for he has been good to me.
-from psalm 13: 5-6
i will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
i have set the Lord always before me.
because he is at my right hand,
i will not be shaken.
therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
because you will not abandon me to the grave,
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
- from psalm 16: 17-11
amen to that.
my assurance through the tough, tedious and tiring times. (note the alliteration, which was truly unintended. if this was lit, i'd write: the repetition of the consenant 't' serves to highlight and convey the troubles of the writer. haha, i digress.)
and i used to think that the book of psalm is boring. i'm starting to like psalm more and more.
