more than you

thanks to nick for the song. i think i'm starting to like daughtry more and more. their first single it's not over was listen-able, home was good. third single over you is really really catchy a tune.

anyhow, i was surprised today. pleasantly surprised i'd say. met someone on my way home after a really really tiring day. (2 trainings in a day. first was for the cls team. our tournament is coming real soon, 22nd october is the date for our first game. and after that at 4 was with the sp team. we're going to have a fitness coach. wow. lucky i turned down jeff's offer to play ball in the morning.) this person greeted me with a smile and wave, when i had expected an icy glare and cold shoulders perhaps. like i said, pleasantly surprised. we didn't talk. but it was a nice gesture nonetheless. civilized behaviour i'd say.

it never fails to astound (note the stronger verb here) me when people whom you expect to kick you when you're down actually offer you a helping hand up, as much as people whom you'd expect to be there for you, who professes to want to be there go awol when the going gets tough, or perhaps when their lives are all nice and rosy. or lie.

sleight of hand indeed.

alright, enough of the negativity. it was a long time ago. i brought it up merely to draw comparisons with the much appreciated smile and wave from someone whom i would not expect from.
