it's exams time. plus i'm rather hooked onto a game right now, so i've been rather lazy about posting lately. but, i found my old EW book while i was looking for some notes and decided to post one of my best writing from that book; i won't have to think about what to write here. for those who've read this before- reminisce. it's titled 'maureen'.

i have a friend by the name of maureen. she's a good looking girl, slim (but not stick-thin) with soft and silky locks of hair and a mesmerizing smile. she looks a little odd with glasses though. however, she isn't the tallest of girls around and can be quite dim at times. i say that she's a blonde who dyed her hair black. nonetheless, she gets plenty of attention (not to mention gifts) from the guys.

having known maureen since we were both in primary school, i became her confidant- i listen well apparently- and i'm amazed by her every time she speaks to me. she can describe anything, from her vacation (paris is great) to her fight with her boyfriend (maybe he isn't too bright, i replied) in such vivid detail that not much is left to my imagination.

maureen also has this ability to get into hilarious situations.

one of her classics would be the incident where she sprained her neck. while on a taxi one day, she claimed to have seen a half-naked man with a lean and tout body jog past. as her neck sprang to her left to get a better look of that jogger, the driver chose this precise moment to slam on the brakes and this caused maureen's neck to be sprained. i had to bite on my lip so hard that i had ulcers to prevent myself from bursting out in laughters when maureen told me about this. some time later, maureen asked me why people of greece (greeks) are all bookworm (geeks). well, i did say that i suspected her to be a blonde.

well, i got to stop writing now. you see, maureen was just telling me about her meal of brussels sprouts last saturday.

there. those were good days.
