it seems one thing has been true all along, you don't really know what you've got till it's gone

the song from fort minor that everyone likes, loves even. i think that the song is good, the lyrics well-written, but the music video even better. very well shot.

i particularly like the part with different people with differing point of views talking about their lost off their loved ones and the loneliness experienced. lost of a son/ a brother/ a lover/ a father. everyone loses someone they're close to sooner or later. and the still shots of the lone antenna, the bare field, the empty couch, the leafless tree, the untrimmed hedge, the unwashed dishes, the vacant bed etc... littered throughout the video. all rather apt metaphors of loneliness and neglect.

mike shinoda said that he wrote this song for his wife, insisted that this song be included in the fort minor album and that his wife cried when she first heard it. well done, i say, as this is one of the best and most meaningful song that i've ever heard.
